Education for Life draws its vision and mission from the Catholic Social Teachings and the charism of the Congregation of Christian Brothers both of which place option for the poor and marginalized at the heart of evangelization. EFL emphasizes on collaborative effort towards the realization of an empowered and transformed society where everyone including those infected and affected with HIV/AIDS lead a dignified life. EFL believes that people infected and affected with HIV/AIDS need to be provided with enabling opportunities in order to realize their full potential and make life-fulfilling choices. It does this through strategic programs such as;
Socio-economic empowerment: – Which aims at strengthening beneficiaries’ economic resilience and improving their living standard. Human Rights advocacy: Which focuses on championing rights of PLWHA, child safeguarding and gender parity. Promotion of Healthy Lives: – This encompasses psychosocial support for self-acceptance and nutritional education to enhance healthy living. Additionally we offer mentorship and life skills education targeting OVCs and school going children as a proactive approach to HIV/AIDS prevention by promoting positive behavior and informed life choices.
